Hey, Adam Johnson Jr. I don't know you and I have never had any dealings with you, so why do you smear my reputation with a bad rating?? If you have a problem with what I do, have the courtesy to contact me before you leave a bad rating. Not nice.

Hello airisfree No, you do not need a PAL to own an antique firearm - as long as it is truly antique! The "regulations prescribing antique firearms" are quite clear about what constitutes an antique - made before 1898, and in a caliber OTHER than the one's listed in the regulations - some calibers such as .22, .38 center fire, .25 ACP and .32 ACP, .38 S&W and Colt among others are still commercially manufactured and therefore the guns chambered for them would not be antique, no matter how old they are. It pays to do your research before purchasing an antique. Hope this helps.

Very RARE Chicago Firearms “Protector”

Manufactured by The Ames Sword Company under contract for Peter Finnigan, who formed the Chicago Firearms Co. to sell these “palm-squeezers” at the 1891 Worlds Fair in Chicago. Ames defaulted on the contract and Finnigan sued. He won and Ames was penalized for missing the deadline. The remainder of the guns was made from 1891 to approximately 1895, and it took another 20 years to sell them all. They are not particularly well made however their extreme rarity makes them a very desirable collector’s item. This specimen is in fine condition, fully functional, and with matching serial numbers on the lid and frame, fine gutta percha grip pad and lid panels, 90% nickel finish. SN# 9689 Rated very fine. DISCLAIMER: All my guns are sold as antiques and I do not make any representation as to the shooting safety of any of them. The guns should be checked by a gun smith before being fired. As antiques, they DO NOT REQUIRE A PAL however you must be 18 to buy. Please provide proof of age with purchase. I am in business to satisfy my customers and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. Prices are subject to GST and PST where applicable. Please be specific about shipping requirements, insurance, etc. I usually ship by mail, using the most economical methods, and charge a nominal $20. I ship as soon as your payment has cleared my bank.
